About The Position

Price Industries is looking for a skilled and experienced Buyer to join our Supply Chain Team in Winder, GA. This role is focused on managing the procurement of materials, components, and products, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals. The ideal candidate will have solid purchasing expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a keen ability to manage supplier relationships to support operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Supply Chain or related field preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing.
  • Strong proficiency in English and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (experience with IFS MRP is a plus).
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex procurement tasks efficiently.
  • Proven experience in cost management, supplier negotiations, and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Purchasing Management: Manage the purchasing process for key categories including electrical components, sheet metal, ensuring alignment with the company’s procurement and business objectives.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and perform cost analysis to ensure the best pricing and delivery terms.
  • Monitor market trends, conduct supplier research, and analyze opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and mitigate potential risks.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure consistent quality, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery of materials.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate pricing terms.
  • Work closely with suppliers to expedite deliveries, resolve issues such as shortages or late deliveries, and maintain strong communication throughout the procurement process.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with internal teams such as Production Planning, WHQ Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and clients regarding order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Track and evaluate supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any performance issues proactively.
  • Work with suppliers to implement continuous improvements and ensure a consistent supply of materials and products that meet quality standards.
