About The Position

Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a full-time Buyer. As a Buyer at DSTI you are primarily responsible for procuring critical raw materials, hardware, seals, bearings, electrical components and outside services to support sales quoting as well as manufacturing operations. We are a publicly owned manufacturing company that designs and produces high-performance custom fluid sealing solutions for multiple industries including medical, aerospace, oil and gas, food packaging, and alternative energy. We are an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with design engineers on site. We take pride in our clean and climate controlled state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Requirements

  • Previous experience sourcing for new product development is required.
  • Exceptional technology skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • We have many internally developed systems so the ability to quickly learn new technology is critical to success.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations including tight timelines and changing requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference is given to candidates with experience sourcing raw materials and/or in custom manufacturing.
  • An Associate Degree or Certification in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certification as a Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is preferred.
  • Relevant experience may be considered as a substitution for a degree/certification.

Responsibilities

  • Review of our internal systems to determine demand for purchased goods or services.
  • Respond to and deliver material pricing quotes for sales opportunities.
  • Check requisitions for appropriate approval and create/maintain accurate purchase orders in our internal systems.
  • Investigate discrepancies and manage cost overruns related to PO receipts and invoices.
  • Participate as a member of the Supplier Management Team and ensure supplier information is accurate at all times.
  • Verify that all supplier documentation is received and provided to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Contact suppliers for delivery updates or to expedite deliveries.
  • Deliver and assist in examining RFQ's to execute supplier selection.
  • Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders and resolve system accuracy.
