About The Position

The Buyer will be a member of the Purchasing Organization and will be paired with a Purchasing Specialist to manage a large list of direct material suppliers. The role will be focused on strategic management of assigned suppliers, with a focus on continuous improvement and execution against key business metrics including inventory turns, customer order fill rates, and purchase price variance (PPV). This is a Hybrid Position. M/F are remote work days

Bachelor’s Degree
Concentration in Supply Chain
Prior Supply Chain Management Experience
Strong communication skills - verbal, written
Negotiating Training / Experience
Computer skills/Experience
Microsoft Excel
JD Edwards or Similar ERP System
Strong Problem Solving Skills

Responsibilities

Work with Product Managers and Suppliers to develop strategic promotional plans. Negotiate price discounts in support of promotional plans.
Negotiate annual Supplier sales rebate agreements.
Manage Supplier performance through conducting Scorecard reviews and developing and implementing action plans for improvement.
Other Supplier terms and conditions negotiations as needed.
Work closely with Purchasing Specialist to manage assigned products and suppliers.
Review and place purchase orders.
Set and maintain JD Edwards system item planning parameters (lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, etc.).
