About The Position

Thomson Power Systems (TPS) - (a Regal Rexnord company) a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for the power generation industry with over 50 years of proven excellence. As we expand into a new facility near Arlington, TX, we're seeking two talent Buyers to build our new procurement team. Reporting directly to the Arlington Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business has the right quantity of goods and materials at the right time and at the right cost to meet the production and operational needs. This role involves strategic planning, purchasing, inventory control and supplier relationship management to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and goods required for production. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement with demonstrated results.
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP and MRP (transactional and planning module).
  • Experience in SAP will be considered as an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Must be legally authorized in USA without company sponsorship.

  • Attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAP will be considered as an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Drive demand planning through SAP and stablished MRP process.
  • Place purchasing orders and follow up with suppliers to meet production schedule.
  • Maintain the integrity of work order and purchase order data in SAP.
  • Manage inventory levels (stock, buyin, VMI, MRO) for reorder.
  • Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover.
  • Review daily and weekly production plans to ensure material availability.
  • Expedite and adjust program according to internal customer requirements.
  • Provide delivery feedback to internal customers and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor, identify, and resolve past due backlog issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade compliance procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities as required.
  • Be the point of contact for purchasing related inquiries for the categories assigned.
