The Co-Manufacturing Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning, purchasing, and inventory management to ensure optimal product availability while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs. This role involves aligning inventory requirements with demand plans and collaborating closely with suppliers and external co-manufacturers to plan production and procure finished goods. JOB SUMMARY · Analyze demand forecasts and procure inventory to maintain optimal stock levels, preventing shortages and excess inventory. Purchase raw materials, components, and finished goods to support sales and production requirements. · Collaborate with the Demand Planning and Forecasting teams to address changes in demand trends and forecast accuracy. · Create and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules. · Coordinate with vendors and co-manufacturers to ensure timely product delivery and accurate inventory levels. · Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support product innovation, service levels, and pricing objectives. · Partner with Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time deliveries using the most cost-effective transportation options, while identifying potential supply chain risks and recommending mitigation strategies. · Manage inventory levels and overall inventory health across internal facilities and external partners. · Follow all company safety policies and procedures · May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
