About The Position

CERTEX USA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Buyer to join our team! This role is an in-office position based in Phoenix, AZ. Position Overview The Buyer will be responsible for purchases materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. This role qualifies vendors, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms and ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods. The Buyer will also track purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains database of vendor information to ensure smooth procurement operations.

  • Proficient in analyzing data and working with numbers. Must be detailed oriented.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with the CEO, executive management, other key stakeholders, and employees
  • Strong financial leadership experience, equally capable on both strategic and operational levels; Track record of executing on business strategy as both a finance business partner and operating executive
  • Must excel in driving business performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs) that are clearly aligned with the strategy and objectives of the company
  • Ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and to in turn develop strategic frameworks that drive actionable change
  • Confident and self-assured; Possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity and business acumen to effectively drive business growth and profitability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively work with others at all levels of the organization
  • 2-4 years of related experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials, supplies, and services required by the organization, ensuring they are acquired at the best possible prices and terms.
  • Qualify potential vendors and evaluate bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing vendors while seeking new sources of supply as needed.
  • Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation, including monitoring quality and receiving issues.
  • Monitor vendor performance and quality, resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Generate and process replenishment orders based on demand forecasts, minimum/maximum stock levels, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, suppliers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of replenished inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and consumption trends to determine replenishment needs.
  • Maintain an updated database of vendor information, including contact details, pricing, terms, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain and update product information as applicable, including but not limited to discontinuation/recalls.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure materials and services are purchased in alignment with organizational needs and timelines.
  • Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.
