About The Position

The Opportunity: Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional ready to bridge the gap between tactical execution and strategic supply chain management? We are looking for a Buyer to own the end-to-end purchasing process for moderately complex parts and subassemblies. In this role, you won’t just be "placing orders"—you will be a vital link between Engineering, Planning, and Quality, ensuring our material flow is seamless and our production lines stay moving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings is essential.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Strong understanding of BOM analysis, material flow, and supplier logistics.
• Basic-to-intermediate negotiation skills with a focus on value and reliability.
• An eagle eye for detail in specs, POs, and recordkeeping.
• Highly responsive and capable of translating technical needs into supplier actions.
• A self-starter who takes initiative to solve problems before they escalate.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Purchase Orders (POs), from requisition to delivery, ensuring 100% data accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Partner with Engineering to interpret technical drawings and with Quality to ensure supplier compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, managing daily communications and resolving logistical bottlenecks.
• Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material requirements to proactively support project-based needs and prevent shortages.
• Utilize ERP data (Oracle/SAP) to track performance and identify opportunities for cost savings or lead-time reductions.
