This position reports to: Manufacturing Unit Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to our Electrification Distribution Solutions ANSI Grid Components Product Group Pinetops, North Carolina Operations. You will be mainly accountable for: Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements. Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions. Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval. Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value. Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price Coordinating effectively across various stakeholders. (production/planning/category team /suppliers) to ensure production flow happens without any interruptions owing to material availability and Material Requirement Planning. Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing.· Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues. Standard procurement procedures and supply chain processes, negotiation skills

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in procurement of raw materials for manufacturing or other related supply chain management role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and typing proficiency
  • Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external teams, collaboration with multiple functional teams, detail oriented/attention to detail, and multitasking
  • English required language skill(s) and proficient

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or other related business administration field preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, and Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
