Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer located in Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer will be responsible to coordinate activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
3 - 5 years of related experience preferably in the Power Distribution Industry.
Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software.
Ability to interpret and communicate business, technical, and regulatory information through clear written and verbal communication.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills to perform mathematical analysis and solve problems involving multiple variables.
Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions using sound judgment and effectively present information to groups.

Responsibilities

Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, delivery, and quality expectations, and conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
Plan, place, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders based on production requirements, MRP output, shortage lists, and open PO reviews.
Monitor inventory levels and material flow through the production cycle to ensure continuity of supply while preventing overstock and obsolescence.
Track shipments and logistics, coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses, resolve discrepancies, and handle claims, credits, and debits.
Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and metrics; approve invoices, ensure data privacy compliance, and support audits and documentation needs.
