About The Position

American Products is seeking a Buyer to support our manufacturing operations through effective sourcing and purchasing of materials and services. This role partners closely with operations and suppliers to ensure quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing
• 2+ years of ERP experience (Syteline a plus)
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required in applicable areas
• Safety-sensitive position

Nice To Haves

• Experience buying raw materials or production supplies preferred

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders to support production needs
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers
• Analyze pricing, proposals, and supplier data to ensure competitive costs
• Track purchases, inventory levels, deliveries, and supplier performance
• Support cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with production, operations, and finance teams
• Resolve vendor-related delivery, quality, or service issues
