About The Position

The Buyer III is a senior procurement professional responsible for sourcing and managing highly engineered components for industrial OEM products. This role drives cost performance, supply continuity, and technical alignment in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial OEM environments.
• Strong background sourcing engineered or technical components.
• Proven track record of cost savings and supplier performance improvement.
• Technical aptitude and strong collaboration with Engineering teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and data‑analysis skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business preferred).

Nice To Haves

• CPSM/CSCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for complex components.
• Perform TCO analysis and execute cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering on NPI, manufacturability, and technical reviews.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers for capability, quality systems, and capacity.
• Negotiate contracts, tooling, long‑term agreements, and commercial terms.
• Mitigate supply risks, manage long-lead or single‑source components, and develop contingency plans.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive improvements.
• Mentor junior buyers and support procurement process improvements.
