About The Position

Kent is looking for a Buyer to be based in our Beaumont, TX office and support regional project site(s). Responsible for executing procurement activities, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves conducting market research, evaluating supplier capabilities, and supporting contract administration. The incumbent ensures procurement compliance, assists in cost-reduction initiatives, and provides analytical support to improve procurement processes. They work closely with internal stakeholders to address procurement challenges and enhance operational efficiency. Skills and Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Manage procurement transactions, including RFQs, purchase order processing and supplier coordination. Conduct market research and support supplier selection processes. Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with policies. Post-award management of assigned packages. Assist in cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance tracking. Work closely with project teams to align procurement activities with operational needs. Perform other duties as required. In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in contracts and procurement.
  • Understanding of procurement best practices, strategies and P2P process.
  • Experience working with suppliers and handling procurement documentation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
