About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The Buyer plays a key role in supporting operations by assisting with the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies. This position works closely with production, suppliers, and internal teams to support purchasing, material planning, and shipping and receiving activities, helping drive on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and efficient production flow. ITAR REQUIREMENTS This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which restricts access to export-controlled information to U.S. persons. A U.S. person is generally defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or others specifically authorized under U.S. export regulations. General work authorization (e.g., work permit or EAD) or visa sponsorship does not meet ITAR requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Procure raw materials, machine components, and maintenance supplies to support production schedules and business needs. Review, verify, and process purchase orders for accuracy and acceptance. Support material planning activities to help ensure uninterrupted production flow based on production schedules and MRP requirements. Maintain approved vendor lists, evaluate supplier performance, and support continuous improvement efforts. Support shipping and receiving activities, customer service related inquiries, and delivery coordination as needed. Prepare and maintain inventory, on-time delivery, and reports. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining regular and punctual attendance.

  • Prior purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing-related experience is preferred; relevant internship experience or transferable skills from related roles will also be considered.
  • High school diploma and a degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or shop-floor environment, or a related industry, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel is preferred.
  • ERP and/or CRM experience a plus.
