About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Adhere to purchasing policies and practices to ensure highest quality, appropriate inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive cost from suppliers. 2. Assist in execution of strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives. 3. Learn to identify the risks to SEL's supply chain; including overall market trends, capacity constraints, commodity risks, and business conditions for manufacturers and suppliers. 4. Create and improve supplier partnerships by communicating SEL expectations in accordance with World Class Manufacturing principles and escalate issues that arise. 5. Continuously improve in the areas of business professionalism, purchasing fundamentals, time management, data analysis, supply chain management, supplier development, cost reduction strategy development and negotiation techniques. 6. Follow SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 7. Understand. Create. Simplify. 8. Other duties as assigned. We base our starting pay on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Requirements
