Requirements

4 Years experience in Purchasing or Supply/Demand/Materials Planning or other relevant supply chain role(s)
Excel Experience
Strong understanding of supply chain, especially purchasing, supply/demand planning or materials management
Comfortable using MS Excel, especially to analyze data, plan and monitor trends
Strong organizational skills and bias for proactively solving problems
Good verbal communication

Nice To Haves

SAP experience highly desired but not required
General ERP experience desired
Supply/Demand planning system experience

Responsibilities

Identify suppliers, negotiate prices and place purchase orders
Monitor inventory levels, optimize safety stock and minimize storage costs
Contribute to forecasting and aligning demand with sourcing activities
Maintain records of company budgets for each supplier and ensure that purchasing activities follow budget
Place purchase orders in a timely manner and make sure certain deadlines are kept
Negotiate delivery deadlines so they meet procurement timelines
Master Data Maintenance: Ensure accurate product and vendor information
Place rush orders for items that may run out on short notice
Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and accurate quantities
Isolate and follow up with suppliers on products that do not meet quality standard (defects, quality issues)
Track key metrics like inventory turnover, service levels and supplier performance
Create additional/necessary departmental or company reports
Partner with Quality department on product compliance
Risk Management: Identify and mitigating potential disruptions in the supply chain
Other duties as assigned
