About The Position

Lasko Products, a market leader in home comfort products for over 100 years, is looking to add a Buyer to the Supply Chain team in our Franklin, TN manufacturing facility. This role will be fully onsite. This role is a critical member of the Supply Chain team, responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials that support uninterrupted production. The position partners closely with Production, Planning, and suppliers to manage inventory levels, execute material planning through MRP/ERP systems, and proactively mitigate material risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, production planning, or a related supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience working with MRP/ERP systems to plan, schedule, and manage raw materials
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, and material requirements planning
  • Experience managing raw material inventories and supporting production schedules in a plant setting
  • Proven ability to analyze inventory, demand, and planning data to identify risks and drive corrective actions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate material risks clearly to stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor plant raw material inventory, including but not limited to: Cold rolled steel / steel coils Resin Paints, colorants, liquid chemicals, and consumables
  • Review daily and weekly inventory reports to ensure material availability for production
  • Reconcile physical inventory vs MRP/ERP data and investigate variances
  • Work closely with Production and Planning to support production schedules and material flow
  • Proactively identify potential shortages and take corrective action ahead of production impact
  • Place and manage purchase orders aligned with production forecasts, lead times, and safety stock requirements
  • Review and action MRP messages (reschedule, expedite, de-expedite, cancel)
  • Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Coordinate with suppliers on delivery timing, constraints, and changes in demand
  • Participate in S&OP / production planning discussions as needed
  • Communicate material risks, constraints, and recovery plans clearly to Operations and Management
