We’re searching for a motivated Buyer to join our Materials team in sunny Sarasota, Florida. This is an outstanding opportunity for a detail‑oriented, driven supply chain professional who wants to learn the business, grow their purchasing expertise, and have a direct impact on the production of world‑class luxury boats. ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Buyer at Chris‑Craft, you’ll support core purchasing activities that keep our production lines running smoothly and our suppliers aligned with our high standards. You’ll work independently while partnering closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams. Key responsibilities include: Managing purchase orders and forecasts to ensure timely delivery of materials Maintaining accuracy within our ERP/MRP system (Epicor) Purchasing materials in alignment with inventory and production targets Troubleshooting and resolving supplier, pricing, and delivery issues Expediting orders to meet changing production and aftermarket demands Coordinating engineering changes that impact purchased materials Reconciling invoices and resolving receiving discrepancies Evaluating supplier performance, value, and competitiveness Assisting with supplier negotiations and contract pricing Developing and maintaining qualified suppliers for assigned commodities Participating in cross‑functional problem solving across the organization More experienced candidates may take on additional responsibilities. ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re open to both early‑career professionals and more experienced buyers who love hands‑on work and collaboration. You’ll thrive in this role if you have: 0–5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience (more experience considered) A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred) Knowledge of purchasing principles and manufacturing environments ERP/MRP experience and strong Microsoft Office skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities Clear, professional communication skills A proactive mindset and pride in accuracy and follow‑through The ability to work independently while being a strong team player
