Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or strategic sourcing
  • 5+ years of experience leading supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and commercial execution
  • 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering and suppliers in technical product environments
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive or electronics-related sourcing, manufacturing, or program environments
  • Strong understanding of power electronics or electronic components (e.g., DC-DC converters, OBC, PCBAs, or similar systems)
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures, cost drivers, manufacturing processes, and tooling/capital impacts
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage sourcing activities and drive results across multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing power electronics (DC-DC, OBC, OBGi, PCBAs, EE components)
  • Familiarity with EV/Hybrid vehicle systems and high-voltage architectures
  • Experience working in global sourcing environments (North America, Europe, China, or joint ventures)
  • Experience with purchasing tools, systems, and structured sourcing processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing execution and strategy for power electronics commodities (DC-DC, OBC, OBGi, PCBAs, EE components) across multiple programs
  • Own RFIs/RFQs, supplier selection, and contract execution with full commercial accountability
  • Drive cost performance using should-cost modeling, benchmarking, OCEs, and fact-based negotiations
  • Lead supplier negotiations to achieve best cost at Job 1 and support ongoing cost reduction initiatives
  • Partner with engineering to understand BOM structures, design intent, and key cost drivers
  • Support development and execution of commodity and supply base strategies, including pricing, tooling, and sourcing plans, 5-10yr outlook.
  • Drive supplier transparency and accountability to close cost gaps and meet program targets
  • Manage sourcing deliverables for current and future vehicle programs, ensuring alignment to timing and milestones
  • Collaborate with global teams to align sourcing activities and proactively mitigate supply or cost risks
  • Monitor and drive supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and capacity
