Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! - Overview: We are seeking an experienced Buyer III with specialized expertise in avionics, machining, and subcontract management to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our aerospace programs by ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality components and services, specifically focusing on avionics systems, precision machining, and subcontract management for highly engineering products. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in procurement within the aerospace industry, focusing on avionics, machining, and subcontract management.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement Management: Lead and manage the procurement of avionics components, precision-machined parts, and subcontracted services, ensuring compliance with company standards, specifications, and aerospace industry regulations. Familiarity with engineering product lifecycles.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms, optimize supply chain efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Sourcing: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and subcontractors. Evaluate their capabilities, performance, and reliability in delivering high-quality products and services within the aerospace sector.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors, focusing on cost, quality, delivery schedules, and other critical parameters.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to aerospace standards, company policies, and governmental regulations, with a strong focus on maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring uninterrupted project flow and budget adherence.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and cost savings.
