About The Position

As a Buyer II, you will be responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with Vac-Con's needs for indirect materials and/or services, fixed assets and/or tooling, and direct materials to support production. These products/services are to be secured in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5 years of experience or associate's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Knowledgeable with ERP/MRP systems preferably VISUAL.
Knowledgeable with Micro Software to include Excel, Work, and Power Point

Responsibilities

Perform cost analysis to ensure most cost-effective supplier.
Create purchase orders based on current inventory vs. demand.
Monitor full lifecycle of purchase orders.
Monitor and ensure all purchasing reports have most up to date information.
Interact with multiple departments to address any concerns/shortages.
Attend meetings as needed.
Manage "Book of Business" to include multiple suppliers ensuring customer/vendor relationship while maintaining high quality, on time delivery, and pricing.
Adhere to all Vac-Con and purchasing policies.
Have ability to work independently and as a member of cross functional team.
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
