About The Position

Fuse builds innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions that improve the sharing of information, video, text, and voice among operators distributed throughout the airborne, maritime, and ground environments. We are a technology firm creating in-house software, network and hardware solutions that support our noble cause of advancing warfighter capabilities with elegant, user-focused communications, networks, and software systems. About this role: Fuse is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Buyer to join our energetic team! This is an opportunity to work closely with our Operations and Engineering teams providing support for our growing manufacturing capabilities and supply chain operations. In this role, you will support the company’s full business purchasing and production teams across multiple product families. Fuse is an innovative, design-driven environment that delivers elegant engineering solutions. Must be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and has the ability to think out of the box and suggest powerful new ideas. Requirements

  • Strong, clear interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers
  • Comfort discussing and negotiating pricing, timelines, and expectations with suppliers.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations
  • At least 3-years experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (defense, aerospace, or manufacturing experience a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sourcing new, non-traditional, and emerging suppliers to solve complex or time-critical needs
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or other ERP software
  • BA in business management or related field

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end purchasing process consisting of sourcing, quoting, placing, and tracking critical components for our production team
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, and program teams to understand needs and identify purchasing solutions that serve the user.
  • Balances a fast past ordering process with urgency and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring quality, compliance, and value.
  • Proactively identifies risks, resolve supply issues, and improve supply chain processes.
  • Negotiate with key suppliers to obtain best value materials that support cost, schedule, and quality goals that directly impact mission success.
