About The Position

We are seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate supply chain data within the ERP system. The Buyer works cross‑functionally to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Working knowledge of SAP for purchasing, inventory, and shipment tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including calculations involving percentages, ratios, and discounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including production, scheduling, and finance.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and proactive in identifying process improvements.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, process, and manage purchase orders within the ERP system (SAP).
  • Maintain accurate shipment, purchasing, and inventory records.
  • Prepare procurement-related documentation, including parts orders, freight quote requests, and shipping requests.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely shipping and receiving of materials.
  • Select appropriate shipping methods and route materials based on order requirements.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on vendor performance and shipment metrics.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes, shipping options, and inventory data to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and inventory management processes.
