About The Position

This is a limited-term position based in Bellevue, WA We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer I (Limited Term Role) to assist the sourcing, negotiation, contracting of subcontractors, and purchasing of goods and services. The ideal candidate will ensure timely contracting and scheduling, cost-effectiveness, and quality compliance while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting organizational goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 1 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of contract law and vendor management best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and/or logistics.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to effectively multitask and juggle simultaneous demands while remaining flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with little direction or oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with Expert-level Excel skills.
  • Ability to make reasonable, rational, quick decisions while under pressure and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
  • Ability to adopt MN processes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Sources and evaluates subcontractors, equipment, and/or materials for non-strategic trades and in-direct spend.
  • Issues contracts, reviews invoices, verifies pricing against PO’s and backup documentation, and processes change requests.
  • Reviews contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to optimize cost savings.
  • Issues purchase orders (PO’s), and tracks services/deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Maintains accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Tracks supplier compliance with Master Service Agreement and quality clauses.
  • Resolves issues related to subcontractor and delivery delays, defective goods, or invoice discrepancies.
  • Stay informed about market trends, supply chain risks, and new sourcing opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
