About The Position

The Business Center North (BCN), Purchasing department is recruiting for a Buyer 2. The Buyer 2 will complete and oversee a variety of professional assignments to provide services for the purchase of goods, products and services required. Work is performed by reviewing and approving requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and creating and/or editing bid and RFP specifications, developing selection criteria and supplier requirements, and selecting terms and conditions in the best interest of BCN campuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or closely related field and one (1) year of professional experience in buying, specification writing or related professional purchasing responsibilities; OR
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and (3) three years of purchasing experience, one year of which was at the professional level as described above; OR
• One (1) year of experience as a Buyer I in Nevada State service; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience
