About The Position

As the Busser, you will play a vital support role in delivering an exceptional dining experience at Café Ginori, Bergdorf Goodman’s luxury Italian café. This position ensures the dining room is impeccably maintained, tables are promptly cleared and reset, and service flows seamlessly to uphold the highest standards of hospitality, elegance, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, luxury or fine dining a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail hours
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables promptly and discreetly between guests, maintaining a pristine dining environment
• Assist servers and captains to ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods
• Refill water, bread, and other table items as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, service stations, and back-of-house areas
• Properly handle and polish china, glassware, and silverware, including Ginori porcelain
• Support opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and sanitation
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with NYC regulations
• Anticipate guest and team needs in a fast-paced, high-end service environment
