About The Position

The role of a Busperson, you will be essential in supporting the Servers and staff to enhance the overall dining experience for guests. Your responsibilities will include efficiently clearing tables of soiled china, flatware, glassware, and utensils, as well as assisting servers with the delivery of non-alcoholic beverages. By helping to reset tables and performing various tasks, you will play a key part in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. Your contributions are vital to ensuring that service remains at a high level within your assigned station.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess a pleasant personality.
  • Prior restaurant experience preferred fine dining or steakhouse.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills.
  • Neat and clean appearance required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Position requires 10% standing and 90% walking.
  • Must be able to walk and be on feet and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 (ten) hours in length.
  • Requires some pushing and twisting.
  • Requires some bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping and frequent reaching above and below shoulders.
  • Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, varying noise/temperature levels and dust.
  • Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant public interactions with high communication skills
  • Ability to carry beverage trays and carrying of plates without tray service.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris
  • Maintains a constant flow of dirty dishes, glassware and silverware to kitchen and provides all clean supplies to dining room.
  • Maintain tables throughout service, clearing dishes between courses and empty glassware as necessary.
  • Must possess a pleasant personality.
  • Maintains required levels of supplies in the dining room.
  • Assists other employees in their duties as needed or as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
  • Meticulously cleans dining room tables and booths.
  • Empties all garbage.
  • Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
  • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees.
  • Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting. Promotes Harrah's and always projects Harrah's in a positive light to guests.
  • Performs all related duties as assigned.
