JOB SUMMARY The Business Unit Project Manager Intern will work on large scale projects/programs for a designated client typically related to quality assurance, systems, manufacturing operations, etc. to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction onsite at our Jabil Defense and Aerospace facility.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university/college as undergraduate Junior, Senior, Recent Graduate or Graduate Student
  • Preferred Majors: Supply Chain Management, Business, and other related majors
  • GPA: 3.0+
  • Availability: Must be able to work full-time, onsite in Saint Petersburg, Florida

  • Leadership Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills, & Resilience
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
  • Strong project and/or program management skills
  • Broad manufacturing knowledge (i.e. materials, processes, test, logistics)
  • Strong Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of cost accounting principles

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight of key projects or for multiple, related projects / programs aligned with the JDAS Business Unit’s strategy.
  • Manages projects/programs under Business Unit direction.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources.
  • Provides customer with Jabil point of contact and interface.
  • Leads and implements specific programs both internal and external to Jabil that span functions, organizations, geographic regions and cultures.
  • Leads and manages the development of specific products through the various stages of the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
