About The Position

As a Business Systems Manager at Spreedly, you will focus on designing, governing, and continuously improving the core business systems that power our G&A functions and connect to our go-to-market operations. You will lead efforts to transform a fragmented, under-optimized tools landscape into an integrated, automated operating engine that enables the company to scale efficiently. A strong candidate for this role brings deep experience with business-critical systems (such as ERP, billing, and HRIS), excels at cross-functional collaboration, and can balance technical detail with a strategic view of how systems support company goals. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in business applications, process design, and stakeholder management to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and user-centric. You will work across Finance, Accounting, People Operations, Revenue Operations, Legal, and other teams to understand current pain points, define an ideal future state, and drive implementation of improvements that reduce manual work, enhance data flow, and deliver a better experience for end users.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Systems, Finance Operations, RevOps Systems, or Process Automation within a SaaS or fintech environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and billing platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Orb, Maxio, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-cash workflows and financial data flows.
  • Experience working with CRM-adjacent systems and integrations (Salesforce familiarity preferred).
  • Exposure to HRIS and contract management tools (e.g., Rippling, Ironclad, or similar).
  • Technical aptitude with system integrations, APIs, or workflow automation tools.
  • Self-starter who can execute independently without heavy hand-holding.
  • Efficient collaborator who actively seeks stakeholder input and avoids operating in silos.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to zoom out and make strategic system design decisions.
  • Comfortable prioritizing what matters most and saying “not now” when appropriate.
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-technical users.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience partnering with external implementation consultants or system integrators.
  • Prior ownership of billing or revenue-adjacent system migrations.

Responsibilities

  • G&A Systems Ownership: Serve as the primary owner for Spreedly's core G&A business systems (e.g., billing, ERP, HRIS, legal/contract tools), ensuring they are stable, well-governed, and aligned with company priorities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, People Operations, Legal, Revenue Operations, and GTM teams to understand current pain points, gather requirements, and define an ideal future-state for our business systems.
  • End-to-End Process Design: Map, design, and continuously improve end-to-end workflows (e.g., quote-to-cash, hire-to-retire) across multiple systems, ensuring solutions are intuitive and effective for end users.
  • Automation & Optimization: Identify manual, error‑prone processes and drive automation and optimization across the G&A digital ecosystem to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and improve data quality.
  • Systems Configuration & Implementation: Configure, maintain, and, where needed, help implement or migrate key tools (such as billing, ERP, and HRIS), translating business requirements into scalable, well-documented system configurations.
  • Cross-System Data Flow & Governance: Ensure data flows cleanly and reliably between systems (for example, Salesforce → billing → ERP → HRIS), establishing standards and governance that support accurate reporting and auditability.
  • Roadmapping & Prioritization: Develop and maintain a clear roadmap for G&A systems improvements, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, risk reduction, and stakeholder needs.
  • Change Management & Enablement: Lead change management for system and process updates, including communication, training, and documentation, so that end users adopt new capabilities successfully and with minimal disruption.
