About The Position

The Business Systems Engineer is responsible for driving the successful design, implementation, and optimization of automation and digital solutions. This position ensures technological initiatives align with business goals and compliance standards, with the responsibility for solution design, implementation, and technical execution.

  • Five or more years of experience in IT architecture, automation, or digital transformation roles. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Certifications in cloud architecture, security, or automation frameworks (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Workflow Automation Business Analyst to evaluate identified automation opportunities and translate business requirements into implemented technical solutions.
  • Analyze manual, paper-based, and spreadsheet-driven business processes to identify opportunities for automation or modernization.
  • Design and maintain solution architectures for workflows and applications, including data flow, security, integration patterns, and environment standards.
  • Build and support automation solutions using low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Develop or maintain lightweight custom software or web-based applications when low-code solutions are not sufficient or appropriate.
  • Oversee or coordinate environment provisioning, system configuration, and governance for approved technology platforms.
  • Lead coordination of data access, integrations, and API usage with system owners and IT teams to support automated and custom-built solutions.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, privacy, and security controls for all solutions.
  • Define and manage transition processes for moving solutions from pilot or proof-of-concept into stable, supported production use.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and guide escalation to appropriate IT teams when necessary.
  • Document technical architecture, solution design, and operational procedures to support long-term maintainability.
  • Provide technical consultation, training, and ongoing support to IT staff and business users in collaboration with the Business Analyst.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with all sensitive and proprietary company information.
