About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across construction operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, estimators, finance teams, data analyst, and executives to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate operational data into actionable insights. This role plays a key part in improving project performance, cost control, scheduling efficiency, and risk management across construction projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar role, preferably within construction or engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience analyzing project cost, schedule, and performance data.
  • Proficiency with Excel (advanced), Power BI/Tableau, Crystal Reports, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience with construction software such as Viewpoint Vista, Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
  • SQL or data modeling experience.
  • Experience supporting system implementations or digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze construction business processes including estimating, procurement, scheduling, project controls, and closeout.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to reduce costs, improve timelines, and enhance quality.
  • Document current-state and future-state workflows, requirements, and business rules.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to project costs, schedules, productivity, change orders, and risks.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., cost variance, earned value, forecast accuracy).
  • Support management with ad hoc analysis and performance insights.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Assist with implementation, configuration, and optimization of construction systems (e.g., ERP, project management, scheduling, cost control tools).
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT or software vendors.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Support change management and user adoption for new processes or systems.
