About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our growing technology team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business objectives, particularly in our eCommerce domain and ambitious international expansion initiatives, and the technical solutions required to achieve them. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of eCommerce platforms, international business processes, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within a retail, consumer goods, or technology environment.
  • 3+ years of direct experience working with major B2C or B2B eCommerce platforms and related systems.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting or leading the systems implementation aspects of international business expansion or cross-border trade projects.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile/Scrum (e.g., CSPO, CSM).
  • Familiarity with global payment processing, fraud management tools, and international logistics providers.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and/or PIM integrations in an eCommerce ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to evaluate system performance and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Finance, Product Management) and the IT/Development teams, focusing specifically on eCommerce capabilities and cross-border operations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement within the existing eCommerce architecture (e.g., shopping cart, payment gateways, fulfillment, taxation).
  • Elicit, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements (FRDs, BRDs) for new features, system enhancements, and major international deployments.
  • Develop user stories, process flows, wireframes, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Owners and UX/UI designers.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of our core eCommerce platform (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Magento, custom platform) and its integration points with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, WMS).
  • Analyze and optimize digital storefront performance, conversion funnels, and customer experience features related to global sites (e.g., multi-currency support, localization, region-specific promotions).
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues related to the eCommerce stack, performing root cause analysis and recommending technical solutions.
  • Identify and document system requirements necessary to support launching the eCommerce business in new international markets (e.g., payment methods specific to a region, complex tax and duty calculation logic, international shipping/logistics).
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure new system features adhere to international regulations (e.g., GDPR, local privacy laws, consumer protection acts).
  • Analyze the localization requirements for each market, including language packs, cultural adaptations, and region-specific product catalogs.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with business owners.
  • Validate that technical solutions meet the original business objectives and quality standards, particularly in a multi-region, multi-site environment.
  • Support the rollout and post-implementation phases of new projects and international site launches.
