Please note: This position can work remotely, but new hires will be required to come to our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH, for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period. Position Description Sigma Technologies is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to help align business needs with the systems that support them. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with stakeholders, understanding how teams operate today, and ensuring software solutions actually meet business requirements. You will partner with internal teams and external software vendors to evaluate system capabilities, request enhancements, validate functionality, and ensure solutions are delivering the intended results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating system capabilities and working with software vendors
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, or upgrades
  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into system solutions
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed
  • Availability: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time; occasional evening or weekend work as required
  • Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and driving record check
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting
  • Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and discriminate sounds
  • Must have the ability to pick up computer hardware (up to 30 pounds), set up workstations/network hardware, and connect devices to the network

Responsibilities

  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges, and system needs
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and system specifications
  • Evaluate whether existing systems meet business requirements; identify gaps
  • Work directly with software vendors to request configurations, enhancements, or new functionality
  • Coordinate and support system enhancements, upgrades, and feature rollouts
  • Validate that implemented changes meet documented requirements and business expectations
  • Support system testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and process alignment across platforms
  • Create and maintain documentation, process flows, and user guides
  • Support end users during system changes and adoption
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback, lessons learned, and post-implementation reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned
