About The Position

Summary The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) role is cross-functional, working at the intersection of people, process, and technology. This role collaborates with stakeholders across departments by assessing business needs, designing people-first solutions, and helping implement system improvements that enable efficiency, accuracy, and informed decision-making. With a self-motivated attitude, this individual will serve as a strategic connector between business units and IT, delivering process improvements and application enhancements that align with organizational goals. The Business Systems Analyst is expected to bring ingenuity, curiosity, and a passion for technology-enabled problem-solving to every challenge.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to influence change, lead projects, and work collaboratively with cross-functional and field-based teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a related technology/business process role.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics for business users.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours to accomplish tasks and achieve business continuity.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly self-motivated and driven, with a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with fuel, propane, logistics, or manufacturing environments is a strong plus.
  • Experience identifying and implementing operational technologies (e.g., dispatching, ERP, telematics, automation, or reporting platforms) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current-state business processes and identify areas for improvement, automation, or optimization.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders to document business needs, workflows, and performance gaps.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and documentation for use by internal teams or vendors.
  • Collaborate with teammates throughout the organization to ensure successful delivery of projects, including testing, rollout, and post-go-live support.
  • Support the selection, implementation and enhancement of a variety of business systems, including but not limited to Crystal Flash’s ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications.
  • Contribute to the ownership of application lifecycle activities, including upgrades, configuration changes, and end-user support.
  • Provide ongoing stakeholder engagement and communication across business and IT teams
  • Monitor system usage, performance, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help design and deliver end-user training, documentation, and adoption plans to promote system usability and business ownership.
