About The Position

Analyze business and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Duties to include: test and validate constant improvements in functionality, reliability, testability, availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency; ensure that technologies directly address and achieve specific Optum goals; utilize Optum’s business processes to collaborate with Optum system users to ensure systems achieve the desired goal of efficiency; utilize Optum technology and products to provide post deployment support and respond and resolve unexpected services problems in production; follow and drive all quality assurance protocols throughout the software development lifecycle and into production; responsible for gathering and documenting requirements; perform system analysis and create solutions that satisfy business needs; create and deliver high quality system solutions for our applications, products and services across all technology functions; consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes; perform analysis and also serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements; provide technical support in developing systems that are cost effective and meet users requirements; create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and methods consistently across the enterprise; and support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

Requirements

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Information Technology and Management, Health Information Management, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst-related occupation.
  • Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:
  • Healthcare software such as Electronic Health Records or Medical Claim processing systems
  • Technical troubleshooting, resolving complex software issues and identifying root cause
  • Application of Scrum principles and roles
  • Relational database/SQL
  • Defining complex software requirements for development
  • Customer Relationship Management software such as Salesforce
  • Microsoft Office Suite applications.
