About The Position

Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a business systems analyst Intern to support our tech team.

Continental Finance Company interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of the department. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the business operations. An additional focus of the program will be to complete a final project that will be an overview of activities, tasks and experiences throughout the 10-week program.

This is a paid position for undergraduates and is located in Wilmington, Delaware.

CFC offers a hybrid work schedule which includes three (3) core days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two (2) remote workdays (Monday and Friday)

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in and working towards an undergraduate in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• Available to work 40 hours/week (hybrid) for 10 weeks: June 2nd- August 6th, 2026
• Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Understanding of general software development concepts and SQL
• Ability to communicate effectively both with non-technical business users and the technical engineering team
• Strong customer service aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned projects and tasks as outlined by the mentor
• Prepare and submit weekly project reports and summaries outlining progress and deliverables
• Meet regularly with a mentor to review project status, reports, and address questions
• Support the department and broader organization by contributing innovative ideas, solutions, and an external perspective
• Assist with documenting and refining business and functional requirements, including user stories
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to gather and analyze requirements and help define solutions that deliver value to customers
• Document process flows and participate in design sessions to translate technical designs into effective product solutions
• Perform system analysis on existing applications and recommend approaches for integrating new requirements into current software products
• Participate in active projects, collaborate with the development team, and gain hands-on exposure to multiple phases of the software development lifecycle
