About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst I documents, installs, analyzes, and/or maintains operating system(s) used for the business purpose of assigned area. Provides technical support and training to users concerning system software and utilities. Serves as subject matter expert for system. Serves as liaison to the central Office of Information Technology (OIT) for advanced support needs. Enhances and maintains systems within the Office for Academic Affairs. Communicates, coordinates, designs, and develops processes related to Promotion and Tenure, Retention, Annual Reviews, Sabbatical Leaves and other Faculty related processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of IT experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students and staff.
  • Ability to plan and implement long-range goals.
  • Strong data base management skills such as skills for manipulating large database sets and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot technical issues.
  • Ability to work with and train multi-level campus partners in systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic desktop computing skills (Windows, Excel, etc.).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of windows-driven software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Faculty Affairs systems or similar systems.
  • Experience in budgeting, reconciliation of financial statements, report preparation and database management.
  • Knowledge of higher education processes and procedures.
