About the Role This is a business-facing analytical role supporting a growing multifamily real estate platform within a privately held investment firm. You’ll sit on the Investments team and work closely with senior leadership, accounting, and operations to help the firm understand how its multifamily portfolio and property management business are performing. Your job is to connect financial results to real operational drivers and help leadership make informed, data-driven decisions. This is not a back-office accounting role or a narrow reporting position. It’s designed for someone who wants exposure, ownership, and a clear line of sight between their analysis and business outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll support leadership by analyzing performance across a portfolio of multifamily assets and the operating business behind them. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple properties Identifying trends, risks, and performance drivers at both the property and portfolio level Building financial dashboards and reporting packages used by senior leadership Supporting forecasts related to staffing, maintenance, overhead, and overall portfolio performance Working with accounting, property management, and BI systems to extract and validate data Improving reporting processes to make insights clearer, faster, and more actionable Supporting scenario modeling and analysis for strategic initiatives, including growth and acquisitions Collaborating regularly with accounting, operations, and investment teams This role offers high visibility and real responsibility early in your career. The Team & Environment You’ll be joining a lean investments team in a fast-growing organization. The environment is hands-on, collaborative, and fast-moving. Analysts are expected to ask questions, understand the business behind the numbers, and take ownership of their work. If you enjoy working closely with decision-makers and don’t want your work to sit in a spreadsheet that no one reads, this environment is built for you. Who This Role Is a Strong Fit For You’re likely to thrive in this role if you: Have 1–3 years of experience in finance, FP&A, consulting, or a similar analytical role Are comfortable analyzing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Enjoy turning financial data into clear business insights Are strong in Excel and comfortable with forecasting and scenario modeling Prefer a lean environment with exposure, ownership, and evolving priorities Are interested in real estate or investing, even if your background isn’t directly in the industry Common backgrounds include FP&A, consulting, early-career investment roles, or analysts at growing or PE-backed companies. Who This Role Is Likely Not a Fit For This role may not be right if you: Are seeking a pure accounting or audit position Prefer highly structured, large corporate environments Are looking for a senior-level or people-management role Want a narrow, repetitive scope with limited cross-functional interaction Why Consider This Opportunity Direct exposure to senior leadership and investment decisions A hands-on role where your analysis directly influences strategy Broad exposure to multifamily real estate operations and portfolio performance Meaningful ownership and visibility early in your career Competitive compensation, bonus opportunity, and long-term growth potential Interested?
