About The Position

We are Tosoh Quartz, Inc. (TQI), the world's leading manufacturer of quartz glassware for the semiconductor industry. We are proud to develop and manufacture innovative quartz products that enable semiconductor technologies. We are seeking an experienced Business Strategy Analyst to serve as a key liaison for the US subsidiaries and parent company in Japan. This role will support executive leadership by translating cross-functional business data into actionable insights, facilitating communication across departments, providing recommendations based on data, and aligning operational strategies with global objectives. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong financial acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and cultural fluency in Japanese business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, business strategy, or FP&A roles.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency to create complex financial models, experience use advanced formulas, data visualization tools, etc.
  • Experience with ERP systems, IFS preferred, SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex information and insights to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with US GAAP and exposure to J GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects, meetings, and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive organizational matters

  • Cultural fluency in Japanese business practices; Japanese language proficiency.
  • Experience working in or with Japanese subsidiaries or multinational corporations.
  • Experience in change management or organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous or evolving environments, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic liaison for the US subsidiaries and the Japanese parent company; synthesizing business requests and operational data.
  • Collaborate across the organization to capture and analyze key business data, make recommendations based on analysis of key drivers.
  • Create compelling, visually appealing presentations for US and Japanese stakeholders.
  • Build forecasts, models and analysis, to inform business transformation efforts, decision making and long-term planning.
  • Work closely with key international personnel to share knowledge and collaborate on key projects.
