About The Position

The Business Solutions Specialist, US Trade is responsible for advocating for change across the entire organization by identifying opportunities for improvement at the corporate level, with a special focus on US Brokerage, Compliance & Logistics. The Business Solutions Specialist acts as a liaison between operational departments and technical teams to design, implement, and support tailored strategies, software, or process improvements that enhance efficiency and achieve corporate goals.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business Systems, Information Technology, Business Analysis, Project Management, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 5 years U.S. customs brokerage, ABI software, CATAIR, consulting or similar professional services required.
• Strong knowledge of US Customs Section 232 and 301 tariffs and exclusions and PGA requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.

Nice To Haves

• US Customs Broker’s License preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile tools and technologies, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the U.S. Operations team to evaluate the impact of new or updated regulations, ensuring systems are accurately updated or adjusted to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Drive innovation by guiding the team in developing strategic solutions that respond effectively to evolving trade conditions and regulatory landscapes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs or challenges, define project requirements, and develop methods to improve the effectiveness of business systems.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment between stakeholders, development teams, and project teams to effectively manage expectations, risks, and dependencies.
• Develop, test, and implement specialized products, software, or process improvements to improve efficiency across the organization.
• Guide users & teams through business transformation
