About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Solutions Consultant (BSC) to serve as the primary liaison between employers and workforce development programs. This role is responsible for building strategic employer partnerships, driving job placement initiatives, and supporting work-based learning programs such as On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Work Experience (WEX). This position plays a critical role in aligning employer workforce needs with qualified program participants while contributing to overall performance metrics through strategic outreach, relationship management, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Workforce Development, Human Services, or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • High level of attention to detail in managing documentation and performance tracking
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce systems such as SCWOS, Salesforce, or similar platforms
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, performance-driven team
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance required
  • Ability to travel locally between multiple worksite locations

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of WIOA programs, labor market trends, and workforce development systems is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and economic development organizations
  • Identify workforce trends and employer hiring needs to align opportunities with participant career goals
  • Conduct outreach to promote workforce services, including OJT, WEX, and direct hire placements
  • Address employer concerns and resolve placement challenges through effective problem-solving
  • Plan and facilitate employer engagement events such as job fairs, hiring events, and industry roundtables
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure participants are job-ready through resume support, interview preparation, and skills alignment
  • Support employers with candidate screening, hiring processes, and onboarding coordination
  • Maintain accurate documentation of employer agreements, activities, and placement outcomes within case management systems (e.g., SCWOS)
  • Track, verify, and report performance metrics in compliance with program requirements
  • Conduct follow-ups with employers and participants to monitor retention and satisfaction
  • Stay informed on labor market trends, in-demand industries, and training resources
  • Ensure all activities align with federal, state, and local workforce development regulations
  • Meet or exceed targets related to job placements, employer engagement, and OJT/WEX program utilization
  • Maintain proactive and consistent communication with internal teams and external partners
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and strategic thinking in outreach and service delivery
