Business Solutions Analyst
About The Position
The Business Solution Analyst for Product plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. This individual brings deep expertise in P&C insurance business processes, workflows, and systems, and collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Underwriting, Operations, Product Development, and IT—to define and implement innovative technology solutions. The role focuses on providing analytical support for the implementation of new products and product extensions within policy systems. The Business Solution Analyst will coordinate efforts across business teams (Product Development, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Actuarial), the Marketplace solution team, and both consulting and internal IT system implementation teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand the overarching business vision for Commercial Insurance in the Small and Lower Middle Market segments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, define, and document business requirements for systems and processes.
- Lead and manage project teams to execute product requirements and solution sessions.
- Act as the primary liaison between business functions, IT teams, and consulting partners to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions.
- Develop and communicate detailed Product Specification business requirements documentation.
- Define and document Epics, Features, and User Stories that represent system functionality, along with associated benefits and value for users.
- Collaborate within an Agile Development environment to define solutions that support business processes.
- Review work requests and assess the impact of product and system changes on existing workflows.
- Anticipate, negotiate, and resolve business design issues to ensure project success.
- Manage the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process to ensure solutions meet business needs and expectations.
