We are currently growing and are looking for experienced individuals to support us in this endeavor. The Business Services site supervisor will oversee grounds crews in the Charleston, WV area. The site supervisor will work under the general direction of the Business Services Area Operations Manager overseeing the performance of all grounds maintenance tasks, landscaping upkeep, and all required reports.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred with one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior managerial/supervisory experience required.
  • Must have patience and understanding necessary to work with individuals with disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA required.
  • Must have reliable transportation in order to travel to and from various worksites.
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving history required.
  • Must have working cell phone in order to make and receive work-related calls.

Responsibilities

  • Train and instruct employees in the procedures necessary to deliver the services required on the contracted scope of work.
  • Provide or oversee training and continued training of Business Services employees.
  • Regularly monitor individual employees' productivity and provide feedback to employees and recommendations for remediation to the Area Operations Manager.
  • Instruct employees in the proper/safe use of all groundskeeping products and equipment to ensure that procedures are followed.
  • Assist with maintenance of inventory and equipment and supplies assigned to work crews and contract sites.
  • Ensures that the organizations’ property and equipment is properly maintained and accounted.
  • Train employees in emergency procedures for fire, accident, crime, malfunctioning of systems, and adverse weather conditions, including Safety Committee recommendations.
  • Maintain the organization's department product list and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Ensure that all reports are properly completed and submitted by required due date.
  • Learn and implement the specifications of the assigned contract/worksite.
  • Attend all required staff trainings.
  • Perform work of employees resulting from an employee’s absence.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of employee time sheets and submits time sheets in a timely manner to the Area Operations Manager.
