About The Position

This position will be responsible for oversight and maintenance of departmental programs that include outreach and event planning/coordination (Department Seminar Series, Colorado Immunology & Microbiology Conference), procurement (CU Marketplace PO/invoice reconciliation/p-card holder), travel (coordination, report reconciliation/travel card holder), departmental scheduling, processing funding change requests, financial reporting, and electronic data management. As a Business Services Professional it is expected that these duties may change over time and new duties may be assigned as the department grows and requires change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional experience supporting administrative operations of a business unit.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate changing priorities, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, scheduling software, and data management and reporting software
  • Experience working with CU systems such as CU Marketplace, EMS Web, and Concur
  • Experience working in a higher education, healthcare, or academic medical environment
  • Experience with event coordination, from planning to break-down

Responsibilities

  • Operational – arranging events, organizing travel, reconciling reports, ensuring compliance with all procurement policies as departmental subject matter expert.
  • Administrative – scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, approving conference rooms, data entry and collection.
  • Department support – directing internal and external customers, escorting visitors around campus, distribution list management, signage updates, etc.
  • Seminar series planning/support
