About The Position

This is an approximate 3 to 6 month internship. Non-benefitted. Daytime hours, about 20 hours per week. The position is considered Hybrid, meaning, some days are on-site in our SLC, UT offices. Ideal candidate will be currently pursuing a master’s degree in statistics, computer science, bioinformatics, information systems, public health/epidemiology or a related field. Top candidates will have hands on experience with Tableau and SQL. This position is not responsible for providing care to patients. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in one of the following: Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Information Systems, Public Health, Epidemiology, a related field, or the equivalency.
  • Intensely curious
  • Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
  • Demonstrated human relations and effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Has a stewardship mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • hands on experience with Tableau and SQL

Responsibilities

  • Participates and leads ongoing planning and execution of internship projects as assigned.
  • Performs semi-independent analysis of hospital data using R/python and SQL.
  • Communicates and disseminates findings to stakeholders.
