The Business Services Analyst, also known as the Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) Coordinator, coordinates services for at-risk youth and their families who are referred from local child-serving agencies, including Community Services, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Social Services, and Prince William County Schools. The CSA program coordinates services across the continuum of care, with an emphasis on serving youth in the community. About This Role: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, compliance-oriented environment. The candidate must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to facilitate group dynamics within a meeting setting. Strong comprehension and application of state and local policies is critical to this position, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to apply policy to practice. Although adherence to policy is important, it is equally important for the individual to be solution-focused and attempt to identify alternative solutions that fit within policy requirements. In this role, you will be the lead CSA staff member assigned to oversee the FAPT; ensure compliance with state requirements related to client eligibility and funding; and perform daily administrative operations related to preparation and follow-up from child and family team meetings. The Prince William Department of Social Services employs over 400 staff who serve the community through child-welfare, public benefits, and homeless prevention programs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of related experience providing administrative, program, or case management support in a human services or behavioral health setting.
  • All DSS staff are required to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster.
  • Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services and DMV background checks.
  • Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster-care program may not be employed by the Prince William Dept of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply.
  • Staff in this position must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive for work.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, public administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of case coordination, eligibility determination, or interagency collaboration.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and facilitate meetings effectively.
  • 3 years of experience performing the following tasks:
  • Assessing youth eligibility for community-based programs and/or services based on their emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Providing guidance or training to staff and community partners on policies, procedures, or best practices.
  • Facilitating meetings, work groups, or multidisciplinary team discussions to make service planning determinations.
  • Using case management or data tracking systems to monitor service plans, outcomes, or funding utilization.
  • 3 years or more of experience in the following areas:
  • CSA
  • CSA policies, procedures, and state-specific regulations
  • Foster Care
  • FAPT
  • Community Policy and Management Team (CMPT)
  • Mental/Behavioral Health
  • Community agencies and resources
