About The Position

Come shape the future of American travel by interning with the Brightline West team! We are working to reimagine greener, better, and faster train travel. Brightline West is connecting Las Vegas and Southern California through the nation’s first true high-speed, all-electric passenger rail system. Reaching speeds of more than 186 miles per hour, this 218-mile service will take passengers from Las Vegas to the Greater Los Angeles area in half the typical drive time. We are looking for talented individuals who share our pioneering mindset and have a bright vision for redefining the future of American travel. As a Business Rotation Intern, you will support the Las Vegas–based team by contributing to a variety of business and operational initiatives across the organization. This internship is designed as an educational, rotational experience that provides exposure to multiple areas of the business, helping students build practical skills and gain insight into how organizations operate. Under the guidance of rotation mentors, interns will work on meaningful projects, collaborate cross‑functionally, and develop a strong foundation for future careers in business. The Summer Business Rotation Internship offers students hands‑on experience across multiple business and operational areas essential to organizational success. This role is ideal for students eager to explore different aspects of business, gain real‑world experience, and contribute to impactful projects. Interns will work closely with professionals across the organization, gaining exposure to everyday business processes and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or related area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Possess strong self-organizational, management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Interest in business operations, organizational processes, or related fields.
  • Students are responsible for all arrangements of housing and travel.
  • Students are expected to work a full-time schedule throughout the course of our Summer Internship Program and must be available to participate for the entirety of the Summer Internship Program, running June 1st - July 31st.
  • Students must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Rotating through various business and operational areas to gain a broad understanding of organizational workflows
  • Supporting cross‑functional projects that enhance processes, efficiency, and overall business effectiveness
  • Conducting research and analysis to support planning and decision‑making efforts
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations, reports, and summaries for internal teams and leadership
  • Participating in regular check‑ins with rotation mentors to review progress, discuss learnings, and identify development opportunities
  • Providing administrative and operational support to help ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations
