A Little More About The role: We’re looking for a Business Reporting & Analytics Analyst to provide a range of services for the Reporting team and serve as the initial point of contact between Reporting and key business partners, including Underwriting, Health Plan Administration, and Account Management. In partnership with Engineering, this role will create and maintain Tableau reports, triage incoming requests, and answer business questions using a strong understanding of data warehouse tables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, including proficiency in writing queries and familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
  • 2+ years of experience building, maintaining and optimizing Tableau dashboards.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and problem solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in health insurance or related industry
  • Previous experience in a business/data analysis role
  • Formal Tableau training or certifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to get answers and triage requests.
  • Utilize knowledge in data warehouse tables and Tableau reports to provide insights to business partners.
  • Assist the engineering team in creating Tableau dashboards and updates.
  • Validate and thoroughly test Tableau or report updates before sharing with the business, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on reporting needs and priorities.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to gather requirements, communicate updates, and address challenges effectively.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for reporting improvement and contribute to the enhancement of reporting capabilities.
