About The Position

Role Overview This is a hands‑on, technical analytics role within Finance, not a traditional IT position. You will execute finance data strategy by analyzing complex finance datasets, designing transformation logic, building and validating prototypes, and standardizing KPIs and data models. You will work closely with Finance stakeholders and partner with enterprise technology teams to transition validated logic into production‑scale solutions. What You’ll Do Hands‑On Data Analysis & Development Write complex SQL (and Python where appropriate) to analyze finance data, evaluate quality, reconcile sources, and implement transformation logic Perform deep data profiling to understand business rules, anomalies, and data behavior Create source‑to‑target mappings and transformation specifications Prototype & Model Development Build working prototypes in modern data platforms and BI tools to validate logic and modeling decisions Design semantic models and reporting‑ready datasets aligned to finance standards Partner with stakeholders to refine logic and ensure accuracy before production Validation & Data Quality Reconcile metrics across systems and datasets to ensure trust and consistency Validate KPIs, calculations, and assumptions with Finance partners Document logic, lineage, and definitions for assigned data domains Governance & Standardization Apply data governance standards, naming conventions, and KPI definitions Maintain metadata, lineage documentation, and standardized logic assets Help establish durable, scalable finance data structures Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering teams to move prototypes into production pipelines Support reporting teams by validating dashboards and ensuring metric consistency Coordinate with process and analytics teams to align data, process, and reporting logic What You Bring Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, data modeling, or BI development Understanding of ontology and knowledge of foundry platform Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex, production‑quality queries Working knowledge of Python for analysis and validation Experience building data models, semantic layers, or analytics prototypes Solid finance domain knowledge (e.g., general ledger, cost centers, FP&A concepts, allocations) Ability to translate business questions into data logic and explain results clearly Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern data and BI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Denodo, Power BI) Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, or KPI standardization Experience working in large, complex enterprise data environments Exposure to advanced analytics or AI‑enabled use cases If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, data modeling, or BI development
  • Understanding of ontology and knowledge of foundry platform
