As the Business Process Specialist (BPS), you will provide technical and operational support to ensure the smooth and compliant operation of pharmaceutical distribution business processes at our main US Distribution facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Excellence, you will support the daily operational needs of the Commercial Parcel, Inbound/Outbound Logistics and Clinical Supply team through quality assurance, process troubleshooting and improvement, SOP documentation, training development and delivery, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Warehouse Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business process support, quality assurance, warehouse management, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of GMP standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance principles.
  • Proficiency in technical support and troubleshooting of warehouse processes and systems.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies and inventory management, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in training development, delivery, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as FDA guidelines and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical products and their storage and transportation requirements.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift more than 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stay on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Consistently recognizes and uses available safety equipment.
  • Ability to consistently follow required safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience in pharmaceutical product distribution preferred.
  • Experience with SAP EWM solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP EWM design, configuration, testing, integration, and support practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of GMP standards, investigate and resolve deviations and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and manage events within warehouse operations.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure warehouse and operational processes adhere to cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits and inspections.
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Provide on-the-floor support and guidance to warehouse personnel.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Streamline warehouse workflows and implement new procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to inventory, storage, and shipping, including deviations and CAPA reports.
  • Prepare and review process flow charts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions and other essential documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create, review, and maintain warehouse documentation, such as SOPs and work instructions.
  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation is maintained.
  • Provide training to warehouse staff on procedures, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records, and coordinate with other teams for storage and shipping.
  • Conduct daily and weekly inventory accuracy cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Manage the warehouse inventory discrepancy and destruction process flow and applicable processes.
  • Work with 3PL organizations and internal stakeholders to ensure inventory accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for SAP EWM solutions.
  • Support the design and configuration of SAP EWM to meet specific warehouse needs, including putaway, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Work with SAP developers to create custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and workflows to address specific business requirements.
  • Support the testing and troubleshooting of SAP EWM solutions to ensure they function as designed and align with business processes.
