About The Position

The Business Performance Consultant, under limited oversight, delivers data and analytical consultation across the organization, employing advanced quantitative and qualitative techniques to derive insights, assess impacts, and propose actionable recommendations. Partnering with peers and internal stakeholders, they apply a consultative approach to address key business needs, enhancing processes through data-driven insights. Leveraging their expertise in analytics, they communicate complex concepts clearly and foster organizational analytics maturity through ideation, collaboration, and mentoring. In collaboration with stakeholders, they define the vision for work products, manage backlogs, and ensure projects deliver optimal business value from concept through execution.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in analytical positions with demonstrated ability to provide reporting and analytics on high complexity projects/assignments.
Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, business/data analytics, actuarial sciences or related field or commensurate data analysis or business intelligence experience.

Responsibilities

Provides data and analytics consultative services and thought leadership across the organization.
Utilizes advanced knowledge of core insurance principles and the business environment for analysis and consumption of data.
Analyze and derive findings, identify impacts, and formulate ideas, options, and recommended actions.
Utilizes strong consultative and collaborative approach in working with internal business partners to anticipate and address business needs; effectively translates business questions or needs into solution/product vision and associated requirements.
Determines the overall vision of work products in partnership with stakeholders and manages the product or demand backlog(s) to ensure optimal delivery of business value through scoping, prioritization, and execution.
Delivers or oversees the delivery of products across all stages of creation; liaisons between delivery team, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure business value is delivered in a timely fashion.
Uses advanced knowledge of data conversion tools, programming languages, and querying language, tools, and technologies to extract and transform data from various databases to perform complex analyses to come up with data driven solutions.
Provides technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to less experienced analysts.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) including story telling from data.
Identifies the appropriate internal and external sources of data, ensuring quality for the purpose of answering business questions.
Drives opportunities for improvement of processes and leads process improvement efforts.
Creates and maintains accurate procedure documentation and reference materials.
